Sales Qualities: What would make you a sales success?

Maybe you're a business owner looking to find the magic formula for finding your perfect sales person. 
Perhaps you're a sales person wondering what it would take to get to the next level of your sales success or who you have to be to feel more successful in what your selling.
I know I felt some similar things about my sales ability not too long ago.  Feeling like if only I was more outgoing, or if I had more courage, my sales would go through the roof.  I could be #1.

Today in my business, I recognize how we are all selling all the time and that each of us is capable of selling and that our selling success is based on awareness.
We sell our ideas to our family or colleagues, we sell ourselves in interviews and of course we sell products and services, not just as a job, we also sell these to our friends and family in terms of a referral.

Each of us are sales people.  How successful you may become includes these 3 things.


3 THINGS TO ENABLE SALES SUCCESS

  • LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!   This is not news and no surprise. How much knowledge, excitement and belief you have in the product or service your selling has a direct effect on your sales results.  "Fake it till you make it" only lasts for so long.  If you don't have any interest in your product or service, it will limit the knowledge you gain, it will cripple your excitement and your income.
  • YOUR STRENGTHS!   What strengths of your own do you integrate into your sales process?  Every personality possess strengths in the sales process.  You have certain personality qualities that assist you in your sales performance.  If you do not know your strengths or can speak to them strongly, it's time to get clarity on them.  Knowing your strengths and how to integrate them in your sales is an empowering way to gain further success.
  • KNOW YOUR BUYER!   Wether you are selling an idea to your partner or a product to a client, if you do not know your buyer in fundamental terms, it will create a difficult sale, effect your profit and possibly your relationship with them for the long run.   The two crucial areas you need to know about your buyer are: Where are they in the buyers process and how do they prefer to be communicated to? and I don't mean wether it's email, phone, text, video.  Everyone has a communication style.  We respond positively to people who communicate with us as we like.  Learn these styles!  It can improve your performance overnight.
As I work with businesses in varying industries, It's always fulfilling for me to see people become at ease in their sales process once they've identified the process, themselves and their clients and then become more successful.
