Is Your Personality Ruining Your Life?

Today, let's chat a bit about how your negative or positive behaviour and words affect not only yourself, but everyone else you come into contact with during a given day. 
If you're a parent, manager, mentor or in a leadership position at all, I seriously hope this is information you already know and if not that you are hot on the heels of investing in a psychometrics tool to immediately create improvements in your home and work.  And by information you already know, I mean, that you know who you are, without any doubts and how you are perceived and received by others. That you have made a conscious choice to develop the person you are today and you are IN LOVE with you!

We are all not graciously gifted with socially ideal characteristics or traits at birth.  In fact, we are most often gifted with the traits of the home we are raised.  Then possibly encouraged into new characteristics while gaining friends.  And unless we are taught about the choice we have in identifiying ourselves, most of us have not clue we can actually choose the kind of person we want to.

I hear my clients tell me "I'm so glad I'm not like my Father".  Then after teaching them for a little time, hear them say "I can't believe how much I'm like my Father!"  usually this happens as they are working through my self development step of Removing the Mask.

All of us prosper from learning about ourselves and evolving and growing our personalities.

So if you've been asking yourself, "how come I don't have a lot of friends?" OR "why does everyone at work avoid me?"
You feel like you want to change...YOU can!
How many times have we read or heard that our thoughts control our actions?
Did you also know that your emotions control your thoughts? 

So, My first question is?  How do you feel about yourself? Good, Bad, Poorly, Awesome!, OK, Average?

How do you talk to yourself?  Which is directly related to how you feel about yourself.
Negative?  "don't be such an idiot <insert name here>"  OR
Positive?  "OK, so I didn't figure it out this time, I'll get it next time!"

I don't even want to share the percentage of people who engage in negative self talk throughout the day, 365 days a year for an average of 74 years!  And the poor victims, the ones on the receiving end of these peoples words, poor behavior and negative energy.

Do you have any idea how tiring that is on your physical system, never mind your emotional well being? And the well being of others as well.
It's ruining your life!

This is one of the greatest reasons people don't feel balance, centered or fulfilled! 
Could you?  If you hadn't the slightest idea of who you are?  Your strengths, the meaning of your responses, your quirks...and yet people make life decisions everyday without consciously knowing why they make those decisions and if the decisions are even in line with their unique being!  And we wonder why 50% of marriages end in divorce....Oh don't get me going....
It totally bewilders me!

Do yourself and others you love and that surround you a favor.  Figure out who you are, what characteristics you love and would love to have and GET THEM!
