LUMINA to Support Change in your OrganizationTHE BEST DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT TOOL FOR YOUR PEOPLE I'm impassioned to write this blog today as I have been working with individuals in organizations in states of massive change. In different industries such as Healthcare Education and even Entrepreneurs are all dealing with change. The truth is, we all deal with change. It's a constant in our lives. At home and at work. We're good with change when it's good to us. However if change represents a threat or creates a fear, we're not so good. I want us to be GREAT with change. Your Personality MattersEvery changing situation creates a circumstance.
We can then perceive the circumstance as good or bad. Leadership changes can create uncertainty, unrest, and on the opposite spectrum it can create circumstance of opportunity, creativity, a fresh start. Health issues with ourselves or close family members are another change we don't feel so great about. Its a circumstance we can choose to see in whatever perspective we want. Individually we are responsible to how we respond to the changes that we are experiencing. This is why your personality matters. It will determine not only your behaviours but also the efficiency of how you manage ALL change. It matters to recruitment, to team managers, to team mates, to clients, customers and suppliers. It matters to your family, your spouse, your waitress and butler. How you handle change is in direct proportion to how you handle most circumstances in your life. Don't believe me? Take a moment and have a look at your personality. Do you have children? When they do something that upsets you (creates a change in your emotional atmosphere) what parts of your personality show up? Do you know how you show up when you are stressed or overwhelmed at work? Do you know how you are perceived by others in your organization when you are in overwhelm? Do you notice the similarities? Do you know why this matters? The more intelligence you can gain and apply to working in change will offer you faster access to the state of being you mostly desire, and perhaps don't even know it. Peace and fulfillment. That state of calm that allows space for productivity and wellbeing. Let's be honest here. Change is inevitable. And fighting change is futile. (feels like a cliche) And people are still ignoring the personality factors involved in making change a success at work and in families. It simply does not work to scream back at your child or partner when a change has occurred? And it simply doesn't work in organizations. Learn about yourself and your people and how you work best together. When you start to understand peoples personalities and introduce change, you can begin to build a formula to move through change together. ...Just my thoughts. Comments are closed.
