The Coaching Conversation
As you coach, you know that all conversations start with where the coachee is at, in the moment. What they decide to start the conversation and what outcome they are looking to have by the end of the coaching conversation.
However, not all coachees are clear with what they want to discuss. In fact, most new coachees need assistance identifying a place to start.
LUMINA Spark for me, allows this for coachees. It's a wonderful non bias tool to assist them in getting them from where they are to inform or help coaching conversations identify where they want to go.
So many coaches look to have tools in their offerings and I find from many of clients that a lot of the assessments are very complicated and need someone to carefully walk them through the results. Most end up sitting on a book shelf or filed away and never used again due to their complexity.
My coachees appreciate the simplicity of language and usability with their portrait and often very happy to share their PDF portrait with others.
We all need to start with where we are. There is no better way to get this from a coachees perspective them to offer a tool that allows them the ability to define that for themselves.
